The artistic patrimony of precolonial Black Africa The Foundation is a non profit, non commercial organization, created in Amsterdam in 1983. The Foundation's principal aim is to encourage the knowledge and preservation of the artistic patrimony of precolonial Black Africa. It attributes study and research grants and organizes lectures. The opening of the museum was in Paris, in May 1986. It acquires and preserves art works the museum holds two exhibitions a year and participates with loan to other manifestations.
